One of the benefits of living in Florida is the availability of fresh seafood all year long. My favorite way to make steamed shrimp with Old Bay Seasoning and beer. Any beer will do, but I prefer Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Here are the ingredients:
- 1 Pound of peeled and deveined fresh shrimp
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of beer
- 2 tablespoons of Old Bay Seasoning
Mix the water, beer and Old Bay Seasoning in a pot bringing it to a boil on medium heat. Add the shrimp to the mixture and cover for 2 – 3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink. Drain.
You can either serve these hot or chill for later. I usually serve them with my favorite cocktail sauce and a nice glass of wine.
