We refer to my inlaws house as the Graddy Resort because it is like being at a resort. They live on the river in Knoxville, TN and have several Yamaha Wave Runners. There is also a pool & hot tub for your enjoyment and a fire pit where we roast marshmallows in the evening.
There are fantastic sunrises overlooking the river and one of my favorite things to do is to drink my coffee while watching the sun peak over the horizon.
Not only is the resort absolutely stunning, they offer a variety of fine wine such as Caymus, Stag’s Leap and Joseph Phelps Insignia.
If wine is not your thing, they also offer a Drink of the Day. On the days I was there this trip, the DOD was a margarita, eye of the tiger and one I can’t remember.
Of course, no resort is complete without amazing food. This trip we had homemade spaghetti & meatballs, filets, pork roast and my personal favorite, Grandma’s biscuits and sausage gravy.
We typically go to Willy’s at least once when we go to the resort. This place has the best fish & chips I have ever had and they make a drink called the Pirate’s Booty that has a limit of two per guest.
This trip we decided to try out Nick and J’s Cafe in Knoxville. It is supposed to be one of the top 10 places to eat and it did not disappoint.
The resort residents and wait staff are pretty top notch as well.
If you’re looking for a place to relax with great food, fine wine and strong cocktails, I highly recommend the Graddy Resort. You will not be disappointed.
