A few weeks ago a friend from high school posted on her Facebook wall that her husband, Ron Rushing, was going to run for Senate.  She mentioned that they were working on a website.  A few days later. she posted that the website and Facebook page had been completed.  I had previously signed up to volunteer with the Republican party, but never heard back.

I noticed that they didn’t have a Twitter account and I’ve always thought that it would be fun to work on a political campaign so I posted on their wall that I’d be interested in helping them setup and mange their social media.

This week, I met them at Crave and we discussed the Technology Coordinator position, which sounded perfect for my skill sets.  So, I’m the new Technology Coordinator for the Ron Rushing Campaign.

I am very excited about this position and will be blogging about my experiences.
