I had the pleasure of attending the Animal Care Expo put on by The Human Society of the United States.  All I can say is WOW.  It was a great opportunity to network with others in the rescue field from all over the world.  I think they had about 1,400 folks from 44 different countries.  I am very luck that I live in Orlando where the conference was held this year.

On Wednesday I attended a session called Match Up II from the Center for Shelter Dogs which is a program at Animal Rescue League of Boston.  The program introduced a systematic way of temperament testing dogs as they come into a shelter.  The program looks wonderful and I hope we are able to implement it at Pet Rescue by Judy.

On Friday, I attended a grant writing class and visited the Expo.  The grant writing class had many tips on the proper way to write a grant.  This is definitely an area I would like to explore more.  The expo was interesting as well.

All in all, it was a great conference.
