I hadn’t been to a Tweet up in quite a while and I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went to WESH early yesterday morning. When we got there, they had arrange for a free breakfast from Melissa’s Chicken and Waffles and Barnie’s Coffee which was very much needed at 6:15a!. Around 6:30a, we went upstairs with Gabe Travers, WESH Digital Manager, Bob Longo, News Director, and Kirsten Wolff, Assistant News Director, who would serve as our wonderful hosts and tour guides.
We learned about uLocal, did a tour of the studio and talked to Syan Rhodes. We were also able to see to see and talk to Stuart Moore who was setting up for a live remote in Volusia County and go into the live studio with anchors Aixa Diaz, and Jason Guy, Traffic Reporter Kimberly Williams and Meteorologist Amy Sweezey.
It was a great time meeting fellow Tweeters and all the wonderful folks over at WESH. It was definitely worth getting up at 4:30a on a Friday! For more pictures go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/wesh2news/sets/72157628954498899/
