I went to Auburn in the early 80s which is where I really learned what it meant to follow college football.  I love college football in general and specially Auburn football.  I bleed Orange and Blue so this year’s football season was abysmal according to anyone’s standard.

I was thrilled when Auburn fired Gene Chizik and Guz Malzahn was hired. Malzahn served as Auburn’s offensive coordinator from 2009 – 2011 and helped them win the 2010 BCS National Championship.  He has spent the past season as head coach at Arkansas State, where he lead the team to the Sun Belt Conference.

I love Malzahn’s offensive game plan and he has seen a lot of success.  It remains to be seen rather he is able to be successful as a head coach in the SEC.  The SEC is a very tough conference where there is little tolerance for losing.
